Springtime Fudge

This recipe is super simple to make with the kiddos at home and it’s totally customizable to their favorite flavors and toppings. This recipe is also great year round not just for springtime so feel free to add a seasonal spin on it to make it appear all year long! In this recipe I used the spring edition M&M candies because I loved the colors and they go great with fudge. To keep the spring theme going you can also used crushed egg candies too!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup M&M’s

Directions:

  1. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan and line with parchment paper then set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan combine the sugar, evaporated milk and butter over medium heat. Bring this mixture to a rapid simmer while stirring constantly.
  3. Just before the mixture reaches a full boil remove from heat and stir in the marshmallows, chocolate chips, salt and vanilla. Stir for 1-2 minutes until everything is smooth and nicely combined.
  4. Pour this mixture into the prepared baking pan then top with the M&M’s (or candy of your choice).
  5. Transfer the pan into the refrigerator and let it cool and set for about 2 hours or until firm.
  6. Cut the fudge into your desired size and serve! Enjoy!Springtime Fudge

Fun Variations:

  • Not a fan of milk chocolate? Try replacing this recipe with white, dark, semi-sweet or whichever kind of chocolate you prefer. When replacing for a different chocolate, simply use the same amount that the original recipe calls for.
  • If you wanted the best of both worlds, try swirling a mix of milk and white chocolate around in the pan for a marveled looking fudge. Not only does this look amazing but it appeals to every chocolate lover out there!
  • If you like nuts in your fudge add about 1/2 cup into the mixture after the marshmallows and chocolate chips have been stirred and the mixture is smooth.
  • If you have any silicone molds at home, pour in the fudge mixture to create fun shapes and bring the fudge to life!
