- 4 sheets of store bought (or homemade) pie crust
- Cherry pie filling
- 1 egg
- Grease a ¼ sheet pan with nonstick cooking spray and preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Lay two sheets of pie dough into the prepared sheet pan. Flatten the edges and press the dough into the pan nicely.
- Poke fork holes all along the bottom of the pan into the pie crust.
- Fill the pie crust with cherry pie filling and spread evenly.
- With the remaining 2 sheets of pie crust, cut 11/2” strips to make the flag stripes, then use a star cookie cutter to cut out stars.
- Place 4 starts in the top left corner then place stripes on the top right and bottom side of the pie right on top of the cherry filling.
- Brush the top of the pie crust with an egg wash - this is just a whisked egg!
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Enjoy!
