Time: 1 hour 30 minutes Yield: 9-12 brownies Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
Icing:
  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 2-5 tsp. water
  • 2-3 drops food dye
  • festive sprinkles (optional)
  • peeps marshmallows (optional)
Directions:
    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and line a 9” x 9” pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease this pan then set aside.
    2. In a large microwave safe bowl, melt down the butter in 30 second intervals until it is completely melted.
    3. Add the cocoa powder and whisk until the mixture is nice and smooth.
    4. Whisk in the eggs one at a time mixing between each addition.
    5. Add in the sugar. The mixture will begin to thicken up. At this point, switch to a silicone spatula to mix the brownie batter.
    6. Add the vanilla extract and continue to mix.
    7. Add the flour and salt to the brownie batter and mix until there are no lumps and the batter is nice and smooth.
    8. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly using the silicone spatula.
