New Year Kid-spiration Board

You’ll Need:
  • Two pictures of your child
  • Paper
  • Crayons
  • Black Marker
To help your child make a kid-spiration board, follow these steps:
  1. First, discuss a goal your child would like to achieve.
  2. Next, place or draw a picture of the child in the bottom left corner. This represents them today.
  3. Then, place or draw a picture of the child in the top right corner. This represents them when they achieve their goal.
  4. Now, use crayons to create a colorful path from the bottom picture to the top picture. Make it look like a game board!
  5. Next, think of goal blocks or steps your child must take to achieve their goal.
  6. Now, use a black marker to write a goal block or step on each spot of the path.
  7. After you've written all the steps, write a target date for each one to happen.
  8. Finally, decorate the top picture to show your child accomplishing their goal. The sample shows a chef hat on the child because their goal is to learn to bake!
