Sharing blueberry benefits is one way to try to convince kids to eat them, but art with berries is much more fun! Throughout July and August, you can find tons of blueberry festivals where stomping the berries is the main event. So why not try it at home? Then turn it into a beautiful blueberry bush!
You’ll Need
- Carton of blueberries
- Paper plate
- Sheet of paper
- Brown paint
- Green paint
Directions
Step 1: Spread a small carton of blueberries onto a paper plate. Step 2: On top of the fresh blueberries, kids will stomp their feet up and down until all the berries are squished and their feet are colored. Step 3: Set up the sheet of paper and have kids step onto it with both feet so that they leave two footprints. Step 4: Now, it’s time to turn the footprints into blueberry bushes! Have kids dip a finger in brown paint to make a stem near the toes of each footprint. Step 5: Lastly, have kids dip their thumb into green paint to make leaves by each stem.
