Simple & Kid-Friendly

Just a few easy steps. Kids ages 3-13 should be able to make your recipe on their own, so choose a recipe with an appropriate difficulty level.

Keep it DIY. Opt for DIY baking methods over electric appliances mini-bakers may not be able to use on their own.

Small serving size. For an easier time mixing and fewer leftovers, create a recipe with a smaller serving size.

Accessible & Shippable Ingredients

Remember, your recipe has the potential to be turned into a Baketivity kit – but only if it includes ingredients that are easy to access and ship.

Dry ingredients are best for measuring, packing, and shipping. When it comes to wet ingredients, use easily accessible kitchen goods like eggs, butter, and milk.

Avoid Allergens

The better your recipe can work for everyone, the better chance you have of winning big! Try to avoid using common allergens like peanut butter or seeds. Think about recipes that can be modified for other dietary restrictions.

Get creative with keeping your recipe safe while still making it unique and exciting!

What you need to submit to enter the competition, you’ll submit:

A video introducing yourself, telling voters about your recipe, showing your final product, and explaining why you should win.

A picture of your final product on its own. Make sure this picture is taken in front of a neat, clean background.

The exact instructions, ingredients, and measurements for your recipe. If no measurements are given or the instructions are vague, the recipe will not be accepted.

Your name, age, email address, and other required information.

Capture great video

Here’s how you and your recipe can shine in your video entry.

Horizontal video

Make sure to use landscape mode on your camera or phone while recording so that your audience can see you (and your baking) better.

Hit the lights

Record your video in a well-lit room, and add lighting if needed, to give your audience an easy-to-watch & easy-to-follow baking experience.

Stabilize the camera

Whoa, don’t shake the camera! Set up your camera or phone on a tripod or steady surface for a shake-free video.
