Fudge Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F and line a 9″ x 13″ pan with parchment paper and grease with non stick spray.
  2. In a double boiler, melt together 2 cups of the semi sweet chocolate chips and butter. Continue to stir the chocolate and butter together making sure that they are combining nicely.
  3. Once the chocolate and butter are completely melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar and brown sugar.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Once the chocolate mixture has had a few minutes to cool down, whisk in the eggs one at a time whisking between each addition.
  6. Add the vanilla to the chocolate mixture once the eggs have all been incorporated.
  7. Add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture by offend it in with a wooden spoon.
  8. Stir the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips throughout the batter.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the center has formed and does not jiggle when the pan is shaken.
  10. Let the brownies cool before slicing and enjoy!
